At Shelley & Pope Dental Practice & Referral Centre, we have a devised a patient treatment journey based on putting the needs, wishes and concerns of your patients first.
At your consultation appointment we will use this time to find out how you feel about your teeth and the improvements you would like to see. Your consultation will include a discussion of your past dental and medical history as well as a thorough examination of your mouth and teeth. Using our dental camera we will be able to show you instantly on screen exactly what we can see in your mouth and demonstrate any problem areas to you.
We will provide your patient with a Treatment Plan based on their treatment aspirations, our consultations, clinical information and any further investigations we may carry out.
The Treatment Plan will include treatment options where relevant, our recommendations and an estimate of costs and length of time to complete the treatment. We are always happy to discuss the treatment plan in detail with you prior to your patient having to make a decision.
If your patient decides to go ahead with treatment, they will be sent a full consent letter which is tailored to them. Your patient will have the opportunity to ask questions and ensure they are fully informed and happy before treatment commences.
Your patient will have their treatment carried out within the time scales agreed. If you require any information about your patient during this time please feel free to get in touch with us.
Once treatment is finished, we will write to you and send any relevant radiographs or photographs for your own clinical records. We would also ask your patient for feedback about their treatment, care and experience.
To ensure long-term success of the treatment, we will stress to your patient the importance of ongoing regular check-ups and conscientious oral hygiene with you, their regular dentist. In the event of post-treatment complications, we are always happy to see your patient again or answer any queries you may have.
When referring to us, we will always aim to provide the best possible dental care. Only treatment previously agreed will be carried out. An estimate of fees is always provided to you beforehand. If we feel other treatments are necessary, this will always be discussed with you in advance.
